"story"

It depicts the activities of the Gunma Symphony Orchestra, which is still active, at the time of its founding, with the ideal of "music for the citizens."

There is a practice center for orchestras in Takasaki City, where the countryside spreads. Manager Ida was hungry for money and was looking forward to the talented concertmaster Hayami from Tokyo. At first, Hayami was desperate for the future of the orchestra, but was drawn to the pianist Kanako's skill and the elusive fascination of the orchestra.

When the money ran out, Ida went to any remote place. In terms of travel expenses, he even puts his futon in his house, and his wife loves him. Despite various predicaments, the orchestra members gradually grow into professional musicians, encouraged by the children they meet in the mountains, charcoal-burning workers, and people in the sanatorium.
